About John
Known for his versatility and mastery of the 7-string guitar, John Gallo has travelled far and wide to perform on many stages, though he now calls Nashville home. Born in Detroit, a city with a rich musical legacy, John was shaped by a deep appreciation for music at an early age. By his early 20s, John was a highly sought after guitarist in Detroit, playing with the likes of Johnny Trudell (original Motown trumpet player) and Michele Ramo (multi-instrumentalist virtuoso). This foundation fuels Gallo's ability to play across genres--jazz, blues, country, rock, Italian, and more.
John's guitar playing has taken him across the United States-- from Key West to Seattle and in between. He has music directed a country band opening for Rascal Flatts, Old Dominion, and Sheryl Crow, to name a few. John has shared the stage in Japan with Jaimee Paul and Leif Shires (Kelly Clarkson). His approachable nature and commitment to excellence make him not only a standout musician, but also a valued collaborator on stage and in the studio. John is available for live performances, in person or virtual recording sessions, and private events.
Some of John Gallo's collaborations include: Il Divo, NBC, Dan Povenmire and Jeff Marsh (creators of Phineas and Ferb), Johnny Trudell (Motown trumpet player), Michele Ramo, Ralphe Armstrong (Mahavishnu Orchestra), Paulina Jayne, Heidi Burson, Jaimee Paul, Leif Shires. Additionally, his recordings and compositions can be found in music libraries such
Artlist and Howling Music.
